    3. Hi Debbie; Was very interested in your post. Have ran into a stone wall with my Henry KING b in VA somewhere in 1811. I am wondering if the children you list of Henry KING are in the order in which they were born. My ggf Henry KING was in McMinn Co TN in 1835 and married there to Elizabeth HAYMES in 1839. We know absolutely nothing at all about his parents or siblings. I thought this might possibly a lead to check out. Do you have any more information on the family? 1. [KING-L] Looking for parents, brothers, sisters of Augustus Koenig?King
    2. Hi all. This gentleman is very elusive. I have been looking for him and his family for nearly a year with no success. Augustus King, b. 1814 in Germany (Koenig in Germany) m Margaret Sonne b. 1819 in Germany. They married and had 2 sons in Germany before he came to US via New Orleans, LA between 1844 and 1850. He and his family appear on the Ohio, Co., KY 1850 census. At that time he was 36, occupation, Tanner. Margaret was 31, sons Henry age 7, Charles age 6 and Lou. Louisa appears to have been born in US and lived only a short life. Also in Augustus and Margaret's household was Henry Sonne, age 27, Margaret's brother. He too was from Germany and occupation listed as Tanner. Am interested in Augustus and Margaret's parents, brothers and sisters. And any thing else about this family. Thanking you in advance, Ann

    1. [KING-L] ARMSTEAD KING in Greenville CO, SC by 1830 census
    2. Hi, I am sending in three messages today as soon as I get them written. The first is re. Henry King who is on my maternal grandmother's tree. The next is Rachel King who is on my maternal grandfather's tree. This one is on my husband's tree. ARMSTEAD KING, whose name is spelt Armsred on the census but Armstead in the Family Bible, was in Greenville County, SC by 1830. He is listed there with a Nartha King which I think is a misspelling of his mother's given name MARTHA and a NATHANIEL, who I don't know and may be a brother of ARMSTEAD. They are all listed as being in the same family. There is also a WILY KING with a different family #, but ARMSTEAD had a brother WILEY. ARMSTEAD'S siblings are as follows: REBECKAH KING OBEDIENCE KING ELIZABETH KING JULIAN KING JOHN KING WILEY KING LUCY KING 1.ARMSTEAD KING was born 11/16/1805 and died 6/25/1871. He was married to NANCY HARBIN born 1/6/1812 and died 10/18/1890. This is copied from a page in the Family Bible. There children are as follows: i.JOHN EDWARD KING born 10/31/1831 ii. NANCY CIRTINE KING born 8/15/1836 iii. MARIA LUISA KING born 5/31/1841 iv. MARTHA MELVINA KING born 5/29/1843 in Lower Greenville County, SC, died 12/24/1903 in Greenville County, SC. She was married to JAMES FORD THACKSTON. v. MARY ANGELINE KING born 8/17/1848. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Debby
