My KINGs came through Kansas. Justus/Justice KING was born 17 Sept 1805 in Rodman, Jefferson, NY married Rhoda Vaughn in 1830 in Medina, Ohio. Their son Wilder Benton KING was my gggrandfather. Wilder was born 13 May 1833 in Medina, Ohio, married Louisa Lovejoy Hughes/Hewes on 23 Oct 1853 in Adams Co., Illinois. According to the 1880 Census Wilder & Louisa and some of their children were in Bluff Twp, Sumner Co., Kansas. They followed some of their children to Washington Territory and settled at Fall City, King, Washington. They are buried in the Fall City Cemetery. Christy S. Samuel King and family lived in Coffeyville and around Edna Kansas. Samuel is buried in Edna Kansas. His parents Charles and Catherine are also buried there. Possibly on land owned by the Treible's Sam's wife Sophia's family. My Grandmother Eva was born in Coffeyville about 1898. Appears they moved to the Kansas City area when she was a child. However , part of the family moved back to Lebett and Montgomery county as a Uncle wrote about being there. Eva King married a man names Otto King . Appears he also has family around that area , so I have 2 sets of King's that has family there. Problem is finding who belongs to who. I have received information from a Aunt that I hope will help. My grandfather Jacob Russell King was born in Lamar, Kansas. He and his family traveled back to Michigan by covered wagon. Part of the family, cousins, aunts, grandparents remained in Kansas. Archie had 3 children, all boys. 1) James Archie King, 2) Jack King, and 3) Lonnie Franklin King. Lonnie was believed to have been killed in the Korean war in 1951.
