Hi Rick, Just wanted to let you know that I am still in pursuit of my James Henry King whose sons moved to Raleigh, TN early 1900'. I still have no idea if they are connected to yours, but wanted to let you know that I do now have some old newspaper clippings, pics, obits, etc. of my Kings and will gladly share them. Deb
On the 1850 census of Ohio Twp., Clermont Co., I find a Margaret King, age 49, b VA and Sarah J. Orwine, age 6, b OH, living with William and Pamelia (Short) Johnson. Pamelia's mother's name was Nancy King b 1795 in VA, my biggest brick wall. Margaret King would be born in 1801. Could she be my Nancy King's sister-in-law? cousin? sister? Can someone connect and help me break through the brick wall? Irene -- All outgoing e-mail is scanned by Norton AntiVirus.
I have the 1850 and 1870 census images showing this King family. Finally i have in my hands the death certificate of Olivia M King. I have located and photographed her tombstone and her husbands tombstone Roderick Theophilus Shivers. 3 yrs ago i was informed that Olivia's parents were James W and Harriet and now that I have established documentation proof on Olivia and her parents I am wanting to connect with more King family from Shelby County, Tn and the surrounding area to learn about my cousins. Hello! I'm looking for any connections or info on Sandy King. According to Bonham, Fannin Co, TX census records, he was born in VA circa 1815 and married a woman named Catherine. Specifically, I would love to find him in an 1850 census record (anywhere along a migration route from VA to TX). Thanks for any help! Curt

Dear Doyle, I don't know of any siblings for my Charles Louis or Lewis King. I don't know anything more about him except that he married Margaret Fulk in Sullivan county, TN. and they had children; Charles W., Lawrence, James Cecil, and Ethel. I have no clues as to where to look in KY for Charles Lewis's parent's. just thought a clue might be in the names of his children.. Thanks very much for the offer to do a look up, but I don't know when the Kings come to the sullivan county, TN area and our 1890 census was burned by the yanks. Janet
Looking for info on the King family, Kaufman Co. TX. around Terrell TX. thanks, Don

I'm looking for several things in my King family: Is anyone connected to Victor A. King born 10/8/1827 in Mt. Pleasant PA (could be Adams Co. - not sure of county)? I have all the information on his adult life, career, marriage, children, death, etc. But I have been unable to find his parents so far. He is my gg grandfather.? He lived his adult life in MA and CT and died in West Haven. He was once superintendent of Winchester firearms. Was married to Harriet Churchill McQuivey (I have all the McQuivey genealogy). Victor A. King had six sons, four of them had descendants as follows: If anyone is a descendant please contact me: Eugene Victor: b. 8/6/1846 New Haven, CT d. 5/6/1932 East Hartford, CT m. Martha A. Roberts: children Victor E., Jennings E. and possibly a Louisa. others? Charles L. b. 10/30/1849 Whitneyville, CT, d. 2/23/1926 New Haven, CT m. to unknown. children: Charles born 1879 CT. others? James Durrell King b. 6/12/1855-1860 Springfield, MA, d. 3/5/1937, Brooklyn, NY 1st marriage - to unknown - children Victor A., Walter J., Isabella 2nd marriage - Elizabeth Shugarr b. 1869 Ireland. children: James J., Frank Mills, Arthur Louis (I am a direct descendant of this marriage) Franklin Pierce b. 9/3/1852 Springfield, MA, d. 9/26/1923 West Haven, CT m. Catherine, children: Charles V., Robert, Aimee His other sons were John - died young and George - did not have children and there is a question as to whether or not he had a daughter named Hellen who may have also died young? Thanks! Lynda K. Wade [email protected] Michael J. Wade [email protected] [email protected] [email protected]
Hi Pam: I opened the KING page in MS that you mentioned. I found some common given names often used in my KING line; like Shadrack and Thomas. Also, some of my ancestors married into the Fox line in Lincoln Co. TN; and I noted that one was named John Fox King. Were the MS KING'S primarily from TN? Or from Madison Co. AL? If so, I have data that I can share with you on many of my KING's ancestors from LCT. Tom King, Sr. San Marcos, CA

Mel: You may want to check out the Western States Marriage Index at the link below. There were several listings for Edith Kings who married in Idaho. This is not a complete list for all western states (though database is being added to on a regular basis), but many times I have found who I am looking for here. http://abish.byui.edu/specialCollections/fhc/gbsearch.htm Here's the Idaho Death Index, covering the years 1911-1950. After going into each file, you can use your search function to find all Kings. Each index takes a while to load. http://www.rootsweb.com/~idgenweb/deaths/search.htm Hope this helps some - sounds like you have quite a mystery there... It has been a while since I have posted....I need help. I can not find George W. King and family after 1860 Pulaski Co., AR. George W. King listed age 40 on 1860 census....DOB approx. 1820. Wife: Delia listed as age 25 being born in MO. I believe she was actually about 30-32 and was born in KY. Delia was the daughter of Jonathan Sailor and Lucinda Elliott of Clark County, MO. Children: Elliott list age 8 born MS, Frances (female) age 4 born MS, Robert age 9/12 born AR. George and Delia were found on the 1850 Warren County, MS census. George listed age 28 born MS, Delia A. age 22 born KY. I have searched several days on ancestry.com looking for this family and have had no luck. Are they in your King family? I would take any bit of info at this point. Divorce records, death records, cemetery records. How can this entire family just disappear? Suggestions most welcome. Thank you in advance for your time and ideas. Peggy [email protected]
Edith KING, daughter of George Roy KING and Dessie Lee BAIN, disappeared sometime around 1918. Dessie Lee had died in 1908 and George was raising her by himself? George spent years of his life and much of his income trying to find her. Nobody has ever found a trace of her. George was born abt 1873 in Knox Co. Kentucky. He lived in Portland, Oregon and Morton, Washington. Dessie Lee (my grandmother's sister) was born Sep 1, 1877 in Knox Co. Kentucky and died (probably) in Sep 1908 in Twin Falls Co. Idaho. Does anybody have any information on George? Does anybody know what happened to Edith? Is anybody out there related to Edith? I'm seeking information about the parents of Phoebe KING, b. ca. 1765 in Germany. She married Adolph CANE, b. ca. 1750 Prussia-Germany. Their daughter, Elizabeth CANE, b. 12 Feb 1787, married John KUTCH on 1 may 1807 in North Carolina. Any information about Phoebe's parents would be greatly appreciated. Lana
I don't know. The only list of siblings I've seen for her is at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:a27868&id=I1514 (I found this database last evening after posting the initial message.)
