    1. [KING] Roll Call: Calvin KING in NC>TX
    2. Pollyana Brown
    3. I continue being hopeful of finding my Calvin KING on the 1850 census. He was born 1823 in North Carolina. In 1855 he married Cora LIPSCOMB in Harrison County, TX. That is my earliest record of Calvin. The name of his firstborn son suggests Calvin's father may have been named John KING. Family story says he left home at age 14 "due to his step-mother", which raises questons- Who was the step-mother? Where was "home" when he left? Where did he go after that? Also, he was 32 when he married Cora, and I wonder about an earlier marriage and family somewhere else? Any help would be appreciated. 1. Re: [KING] Listowner Post - ROLL CALL!! Ezekiel King
    2. Deborah L Bay
    3. I just posted this recently but am posting again for the roll call: Ezekiel King b. 1780 Suffield, Hartford Co., CT d. 20 May 1831, Edinburg, Saratoga Co., NY m. abt 1810 Mary Squires b. 1788, Hartford, Hartford Co., CT d. 25 Oct 1851, Edinburg, Saratoga Co., NY I have one of their children as Stephen King (b. 27 Apr 1821, Edinburg, Saratoga Co, NY; d. 14 Mar 1898, Logan, Harrison Co., IA). According to a Harrison Co., IA biography there were 10 children in the family, including a son named Joseph A. King. The bio said there were 7 boys and 3 girls, with Stephen King being the 7th child. What I'm trying to determine is whether one of the daughters was Mary M. King (b. 5 Dec 1829, Saratoga Co., NY; d. 8 Feb 1904, Harrison Co., IA; m. 4 Jul 1848, Jason Ziba Hunt). I haven't been able to locate any birth records in Saratoga Co., NY for Mary King. I did find an online family tree for Stephen King, but he is the only child included (as the researcher's only interest; I emailed her and she doesn't have names or information on the other children). One of my sources mentions that Stephen King was a brother-in-law of Jason Ziba Hunt, but no other details were given. That leads me to believe that Stephen King and Mary M. King were brother and sister. If anyone has these King folks in their line, could you let me know? Mary King was one of my brick walls and I'll be so excited if she turns out to be Stephen King's sister. Thanks! Deborah Bay Denver, CO
