I am Sharon (King) Spencer. I am still searching for my gggfather Stephen. born in Canada about 1826. Most of this list, so far, appears to be South and Central East coast Kings. Some from Ohio, etc. Any one looking, besides me, for any Kings in Canada? Thank you
I guess I need to get the name of the book from Patricia Spears. Patricia do you know the name of the book? I would be very happy to get more information. Thank you. This may get confusing as there seems to be two Sharon Kings. I am Sharon King Bosworth and I didn't get my information from a book but from an aunt, who is 96 but started working on the family history more than 30 years ago. Most of what I have can be proven, with the exception of Thomas, Edward and Isaac. I would also be interested in knowing more about the King/Sharp book. Erline: I, too, am no help with your King line; have one myself I posted some days ago; a brick wall for many years. But, I, also have a Worsham who married into my King line, my great grandmother, to be exact. Her father, WILLIAM WORSHAM, 12-18-1814 IN who married 04-01-1843 Kosciusko Co., IN to Elizabeth "Betsy" Snively born OH 12-12-1824; emigrated to Coles County, IL area raising a large family of thirteen. Have had little luck going anywhere with this family. William and Betsy both buried Union Cem., Morgan Twp., Coles Co., IL. My great grandmother, Margaret Caroline Worsham was their 11th child, b 5-10-1858 IN, buried Janesville Cem., Coles Co., IL. Thank for your consideration. Yes, I would like a copy. I am researching the Kings and cannot seem to get any farther back than my great grandfather. I am sure he came from the east coast , but do not know where. Hi Pam, Thank you for your generous offer. Could you send me a copy, please? An attachment would work fine for me, unless it would be more convenient for you to split it into several e-mails. Either way would work fine. I can't seem to get any further back than my four times great grandfather, William KING who married Mary "Polly" Woodson, but there are some indications he may have come to Alabama by way of TN, KY or MO thru ancestors who originally settled in Jamestown. Hi Ann... You didn't mention any connection with New York but I guess I am so desperate that I have to ask. My grand father was supposedly born in New York and his parents came from Germany. Yours is the first mention that I have noticed with Germany and the dates could work out. Anyway, his name was Ernest King and he was born May 5, 1872. Bob King...
