I view our Y dna project giving us info on who we relate to for hundreds of years and the Geno 2 project will be looking at thousands of years for broad groups and the results will increase info about when and where various haplogroups lived so by joining the National Geographic Group you contribute to general knowledge of our very early ancestors which will be interesting but not too helpful in getting each of our lineages back to Scotland. I suggest anyone considering the Geno 2 test to read the complete information in the websites Peter posted and possible Google for scientific reviews of it's value. I should have the results of my Big Y test soon and suspect it will cover all the Geno 2 test covers plus much more. If someone does take the Geno 2 dna test we hope they will report back on the results.
