What want to know is would this test tell me and my family anything more than I already know about group A Kincaids or is this a more general application in a broader sense. Both. For the time being it will tell you things in a broader sense. If a bunch of Group A Kincaids do the test then one can work out connections like that of strs, but with much better precision. Until then it will not help you. Given the cost I’d say the odds of seeing a lot of Kincaids tested is low. My thoughts are that over time family snps will be identified and we will have a better picture than what strs will tell us. However, I think it best to wait for the technology to develop more and costs get down a lot.
