Robert Patton, Sr., b. abt. 1755, died in Alexandria, VA, married Helen Douglas of the George Douglas family near Roaring Head, Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland, (Robert was a merchant and shipbuilder) - their son Robert Patton, Jr., resided at Spring Bank, Alexandria, VA, and married Ann Clifton Reeder in 1805, Alexandria, Fairfax Co., VA. Robert and Ann's daughter Eleanor Ann married George Mason VI of Gunston Hall. 8. James Patton, Esquire, b. abt. 1755, d.
