There was a letter from James Kincaid of Boston to James Patton of Alexandria, Virginia dated 5 May 1803. It is at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/cityofalexandria/history/letters/kincaid8.txt This was noted years ago by Barb Van Hout, but I did not pick up on it much. What is interesting is that James Patton was married to a Mollie Kincaid. James Kincaid of Boston must have been a relative of his wife. Now James Patton is said to have been born in Newtown-Limavady (now called just Limavady), County Londonderry, Ireland. I wonder if Mollie and James were from there as well. From the letter I get the impression that James's wife was Martha. Did anyone follow-up on this James Kincaid of Boston? Peter
