Our source for the James Kincaid of Boston letters to James Patton in Alexandria, VA has found the original letters and told me the story behind the letters. I have asked permission to copy the very interesting story of how she came to be in possession of the letters and where they came from. It is amazing they have survived over 211 years! I will send copies of the scans to anyone who is interested. Just send an email to me off list to donwkincaid@cox.et One letter is not very readable and part of it is gone but a small amount is readable.
