    3. It is great that you replied and we know more about children of William/Sarah. It has been debated on whether Sarah's maiden name was Cain or Stewart. Do you possibly have a death certificate for your George, which might gives his mother's name? Here is a find-a-grave website for your Arthur. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=51774285 Barbara -----Original Message----- From: Deborah Nitasaka Sent: Monday, May 05, 2014 1:10 PM To: kincaid@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KINCAID] KINCAID Digest, Vol 9, Issue 89 Barbara & Rolin, I believe the George Kincade to whom you refer was my 2nd great grandfather, George Washington Kinkade. He was born in Grayson, KY, fought for the Union and is buried where he lived for most of his adult life, in Sedan, Kansas (the Greenwood Cemetery). Most of his children ended up in California. I am happy to share more, if this seems a likely fit to your post. Some years back, 2007?, there was a discussion on this list pertaining to a collection of letters (referred to as the "Hulme Kinkade letter collection"), some written by/about my family members (e.g., Arthur Kinkade, son of George Washington Kinkade & Ellen Sterling). I requested copies of items pertaining to George, Arthur, and Ellen (actually Nancy Ellen Sterling), but never heard back. I don't recall who ended up the holder of the letters, but the contents might well be helpful to you. I still wish copies of that correspondence had been made more widely available.
