    1. [KINCAID] Info on Samuel Kincaid of 1700 and Robert De Kyncade of1441
    2. David Kincaid
    3. I have done a rather simple family tree with Ancestory.com and have traced back to the year 1441 with Robert De Kyncade as the final entry or starting point. I also see where Samuel Kincaid was the first to come to the United States. Samuel was born 1700 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. Can you find more info on Samuel, immigration papers, landing point in the US? etc. Shows he died in 1794 in Greenbrier, West Virginia. Also any more information on Robert De Kyncade greatly appreciated. The Kincaids on my side settled in Owsley county(Lee County) Kentucky. David Kincaid, Lexington, Kentucky

    3. I hate to dampen your zeal, but I'd like to see anyone with Colonial American roots whose documentation can trace back to Scotland to the 1400s. Just because someone put together an undocumented line (ie. Dr. H.C. Kincaid) does not make it true. There is no record found that links Samuel of Greenbrier to a line in Scotland; for that matter none of the so called sons of Alexander. The DNA evidence suggests that Samuel's line is based on a 17th century Separate Paternal Lineage than the original Kincaid line. I hate to be blunt but the continued spreading of this made up pedigree just detracts from legitimate genealogical research.
