Kincaid/Johannah Baldwin Are there any stray (non A & A) Montgomery Co. KY Kincaids that could be children to George C. Kincaid & Johannah Baldwin? Since Johannah's father was in Montgomery Co. before 1805, the 1802 Howe marriage between George & Johannah Morris Baldwin appears to be that of George Cambell Kincaid, son of Thomas/Hannah. It looks like after the wedding they returned to Muddy Creek in Greenbrier Co. VA until 1809 when they sold out and moved to KY. According to Randy's March 27, 2005 post a George appears in the 1810 Montgomery Co. KY Census p356 Line 16 1 m under 10 (b 1799-1811) 1 m 26-44 (b 1765-1784) 2 f under 10 (b 1799-1811) 1 f 16-25 (b 1783-1794) The adult female is consistent with Johannah's reported birthdate of 1784. George 1st appears with Thomas/Hannah, Thomas, Francis, Samuel, and John on the tax roles in Greenbrier Co. VA on Arpil 17, 1795 which means a birth year around 1774. This is consistent with the above adult male. Three children under 10 is consistent with an 1802 marriage date. Can this family be found in 1820? Johannah reportedly died prior 1869. This means she may be in the 1850 and 1860 censuses with or without George. 3. It doesn't look like George/Polly Heaton has anything to do with the family tracked by these censuses. The age fits with George C./Johanna. Samuel B with daughter Johanna is consistent with what you would expect a child of this couple and his daughter be named. The censuses are tracking the same George from 1810-1830. There is a William in the 1820 census. He lives in the same district as George in Bath Co. 1/0/0/1/0/1*1/2/0/1/0. He is not the brother of George/Johanna as George's brother William is still back in Greenbrier Co. This William is still there in 1830 age 30-40. 3/2/0/0/0/1/0*0/2/0/0/0/1/0/0/0. Anyone have any idea who is might be? He could be the father of the John and James below. It looks like George died between 1830 and 1840. Johanna would be the female 50-60 in Willis's 1840 household and sister Mary is the female 30-40. By 1850 Johannah is no longer there but sister Mary age 46 is. Did Johannah die or did she move in with daughter Elizabeth and her husband Abram Beckner or perhaps the missing daughter. The Baldwin family suggests that she d prior to 1869. Where that came from isn't given so she may have died quite awhile earlier. She didn't move in with Samuel B. He is in the 1850 Nicholas census 9 names away from Willis. F. Samuel B. Kincaid age 41 b VA with Nancy age 39 KY, William 19 KY, Mary E 16 KY, Johanna 12 KY, Martha A 9 KY, Malinda E 6 KY, Charles T 3 KY and Sarah J 2/12 KY In 1850 Nicholas Co. there are 2 Kincaids not close to Samuel and Willis. John age 36 KY with Pamela age 31 KY, William 6 KY, Andrew 4 KY, Polly 1 KY and an aged George couple b in NC who could be Pamela's parents. James age 36 KY with Eliza J age 25 KY, Ann 8 KY, Alice 7 KY, Susan 2 KY, John W. 1/12 KY Either one of these could be the missing male. Or the missing male could have died or left the area. The unknown daughter should have married sometime in the 1830's if she followed normal patterns. Anyone know anything about any of the families in these censuses?
