Another crossing with Bairds occurred in Greenbrier Co. VA James Kincaid b 1748 d 10/15/1811 m Rosanna Baird. The bonds for the marriage are dated 16th January 1786. They are signed by James Kinkead and William Renick. James is buried in the "Old Stone Church" in Lewisburg. On Feb. 25, 1812 there was a deed of heirs with Wm and Rebeccah Handley (m 1807) and Elizabeth Kincaid , children & heirs of James Kincaid sold 145a to Samuel Kincaid also a child of James. The land was near Lewisburg on the plains on the way to Muddy Creek. Capt.Samuel Kincaid b 1787 d 1/28/1828 m 1819 Elizabeth Feemster. Both are buried at the Old Stone Church. In March 1828 Rosanna released any dower rights she may have as widow of James Kincaid to Elizabeth as widow of Samuel, son of James. This is the same court where letters of administration are granted Eliz. Kincaid & John Feamster on estate of Samuel Kincaid. There appears to be close association between James/Rosanna Baird Kincaid, Samuel/Margaret Clark Kincaid (Group c-2) and George/Margaret Rennick Kincaid. A John Baird held 315a in Greenbrier in 1783.
