Lucy Ann Kincaid Kinkead Was born February 1, 1837 either in Monroe County or Scotland County of Missouri. She was the daughter of Charles Lewis Kincaid and Elizabeth Abbott. Lucy is recorded in 1850 census of Missouri living in Scotland County in Mt. Pleasant along with her parents and brothers and sisters. She came to California along the Spanish Trail from Missouri to California and settled in Tulare County in 1859. She married Andres Kinkead, son of Matthew Kinkead and Teresita Sandoval about 1858. She lived in the Visalia area of Tulare County until about 1880. She applied for a land near the Tule River as several of her family members lived in the area and she lived there until about 1912. She sold her holdings and moved back to town. This time settling in Porterville, California. She died July 18, 1917 at her home in Porterville, California.
