I believe that Mary Kinkead who warranted two lots in Bedford, Cumberland County, later Bedford County was never married.  She is never referred to as widow.  Here is a timeline for her: 1767 Mary Kinkaid [000004] warranted lots 57 & 58 in Bedford Town, Cumberland County, PA, January 19,             1767. Pennsylvania State Archives 1771 Robert Kinkeade [000005] & Mary Kinkead, [000004] witnesses to deed of Bernard Dougherty of the             town of  Bedford to Frederick Nagle of same for lot 81 in Bedford, Cumberland County, PA, March 21,             1771.  Bedford County, PA, Deed book A, page 40.  1773 Mary Kinkead [000004] of Bedford Township, sold to Samuel McCashlan of the town of Bedford on Feb.         26, 1773,  whereas by virtue of an application made by said Mary to John  Lukins Esq. Surveyor                 General of the Providence, for two  certain lots (#57 and #58) situated in Bedford Town, said two lots             were granted to her 17 Jun 1766. Now for 6 PA currency Mary sells both lots to McCashlan.                          Witnesses: Barnard Dougherty, Robert Cochran, George Woods, and Robert Galbraith. 1776 Samuel Kinkcaid, [000004] Fawn Township, York County, PA, will written March 26, 1776, proved April         30, 1779, see below.  Executor: Michael Kinkcaid, [000004] York County, PA; brother, John Kinkcaid         [000004]; sister: Mary Kinkcaid [000004].   York County PA Wills. 1787 Mary Kinkead [000004] received a warrant for 100 acres in Colerain Township, Bedford County, PA on         November 26, 1787.  Pennsylvania Archives, s. 3, v. 25, p. 554. 1788 Mary Kinkead, [000004] a draught of a tract of land situate in Friends Grove in Colerain Township,                 Bedford County containing one hundred and seventy nine acres with the usual allowance of six per cent         for roads, surveyed for Mary Kinkead the 4th day of September 1788. In pursuance of a warrant dated             November 26th 1787.  George Woods D.S.  To John Lukens, Esqu.  S.G.  Adjacent land owners:          Barnard Dougherty, Esqu, land now Mary Kinkead, land in the name of Barnard Dougherty, now Mary         Kinkead, Dunning’s Mountain.  Pennsylvania State Archives, Surveys, ____, p. 206. 1789 Mary Kincaid, [000004] legatee, in Ann Springer’s will, of York Borough, York County, PA, will written         March 13, 1789, proved  March 16, 1789.
