    1. [KINCAID] James Kinkead, Coroner & Recorder of Westmoreland County, PA
    2. Norman Kincaide
    3. Dear Kincaid-listers, I have also found more on James Kinkead, Coroner & Recorder of Westmoreland County, PA.  I am now pretty sure that Samuel Kinkead (died 1840) of Butler County, PA is the son of James Kinkead of Westmoreland County, PA.  The proximity of John Kinkead, formerly of Lancaster County, PA and James Kinkead, Recorder of Westmoreland County, PA to the John and James Kinkead of Smith Township, Washington County, PA also make me believe that they are related to them.  This is the territory of the Kincaids from the Ben Dixon book.  I now have enough circumstancial evidence to place them within the Sadsbury, West Caln, East Caln Townships, Chester County, PA Kincaid family cluster.  I still haven't found where or when James Kinkead, Recorder died, but Armstrong County, PA might be the place to look. Sincerely Norman Kincaide 1742 James Kinkead [000013] born to John Kinkead [37382] & wife, Mary in Sadsbury Township, Chester             County, PA.
