I think this Andrew may be Andrew m Mary Caldwell 1777 Botetourt Co. VA. Mary's father Samuel was living at the head of Indian Creek near what became Union, Monroe Co. WVA at the time. Mary's full brother James' MO estate papers do not mention a brother William, however, there was a William Caldwell who appears near Samuel Caldwell in VA. Some researchers believe that Samuel did have a son William. He may be the Capt. Andrew Kincaid who appears in KY with a tie to Greenbrier Co. (Monroe from Greenbrier from Botetourt). He died in MO and his family was well known to James's administrator. Walter Caldwell was named in his 1/2 brother James' estate papers Capt. William & Eleanor Gay Kincaid's son Andrew m Ann Pogue. Capt. Wm d in Woodford Co KY. Andrew and Ann died in Fleming Co KY. June Lee Mefford Kinkead in "Our Kentucky Pioneers" gave a listing for the children of John/Margaret Kincaid of Versailles, Woodford Co. KY. John died in 1817. I have no idea where the listing came from or how accurate the added info is though I believe the children are named in his will. Could this be one of the Thomas's in Montgomery Co.? Joseph d 1822 m Nancy John Archibald m Priscilla McBride in 1792 James, lived in Woodford Co. Thomas, went to Montgomery Co. KY William d 1821 wife Elizabeth Jane m Davis, child: Preston Davis Archibald is a name that appears on the Great Calf Pasture River in Augusta Co. VA where Capt. Wm/Eleanor were from. There were 3 Archibald Kincaids in the Augusta/Bath Co. VA after 1800 so the name Archibald is not exclusive to the A & A family. John the Weaver sold part of his Calf Pasture land to a John/Margaret. My hypothesis is that this John/Margaret is the one in Versailles.
