    3. Debby, dates and places are a big help when asking if anyone knows about your Kincaids. There are so many with the same given name that it is difficult to tell who you are interested in without a time frame and location. I don't know of a "master" Kincaid list. Individual lines have been explored and direct descendents may be known by individual researchers. The DNA project helps us know which lines are connected to which other lines but most often the link has not been found. Many lines are represented by list members but there are many other lines without a current list researcher. With specific information you are more likely to find possibilities of connection or at least people who are researching the same geographic area in the same time period. 1. [KINCAID] David d 1795 Bourbon Co. KY
    2. Sue Liedtke
    3. I have been working with Sally Standley on a vetting post taking 11207 back to James/Elizabeth Church. On the 1850 Lewis Co. TN census James says he is 53 and was born in KY. On the 1860 census he says he is 65 and b in TN. Lewis Co. TN is right next to Maury Co. TN. #37382 shows a line movement into Maury Co. TN from Bourbon Co. KY. Is there any possibility that James/Elizabeth Church belongs with David's family? Could David's wife have been pregnant or just given birth when David died or are any of his sons old enough to have a child b c1795-7? What is known about the families of his children? Both lines are in Group A 1-b. Besides the mutation to 12 at marker 26 (DYS 460) 37382, vetted to David, has 1 addition mutation at fast moving marker 33 (DYS570) and 11207 (Sally's cousin) has mutations at fast moving marker 32 (DYS 576) and fast moving marker 34 (CDYa). No one else in A 1-b shares their extra mutations so they may have occured downline from their common ancestor. If paperwork were to show a connection, I don't think the mutations would be a stumbling block.
