Dear Kincaid listers: the below Barnard Dougherty was a significant officer in Bedford County, PA. 1788 Mary Kinkead, [000004] a draught of a tract of land situate in Friends Grove in Colerain Township,                 Bedford County containing one hundred and seventy nine acres with the usual allowance of six per cent         for roads, surveyed for Mary Kinkead the 4th day of September 1788.          In pursuance of a warrant dated November 26th 1787.  George Woods D.S.  To John Lukens, Esqu.              S.G.  Adjacent land owners: Barnard Dougherty, Esqu, land now Mary Kinkead, land in the name of             Barnard Dougherty, now Mary Kinkead, Dunning’s Mountain.  Pennsylvania State Archives, RG-17,             Records of the Land Office, COPIED SURVEYS, 1681-1912, C-104 p. 206.
