To add a different perspective on this discussion, the participants in the Kincaid DNA chart are not always placed according to DNA closeness. Sue does a good job of using lineage info in addition to the DNA results to place people on the chart. From a purely DNA standpoint, the FTDNA probability of common ancestor predictor for 67 markers shows Norman to have an 86% chance of common ancestor in 8 generations with 5850 in Set 1c as well as those who have an exact match for 67 marker results, Ted, Doug & Dick, Set 1a, and shown as the Apparent Ancestral Value for Group A. The next closest is 49289, Ron L, Set 2a at 84%, then James E. Kincaid, # 2563, Set 1b, at 70%, followed by 15550, Set 2a at 67% along with 96496, Set 1a, 1255 and 28835, both Set 1b followed by 122441 at 45% and lastly Grant, # 2519 at 28%. Those shown on the DNA chart as being in Set 2b with Norman are shown in blue which may or may not come through on the Kincaid List post. According to this 15550 is as close as anyone in Group A Set 1b to Norman except for Ron L, # 49289. Plue you stated: "I think the results for sample 119921 (a reputed descendant of the Sadsbury Kincaids) elimates the likelihood that James Kincaid (m. Margaret Kuhns) of Westmoreland County, PA (represented by sample 15550) is of the Sadsbury Kincaids." If that is so why would I continue to look to the Sadsbury Township, Chester County, PA Kincaids for his paper trail? Especially when I lose track of James Kinkead the Coroner after 1786? I still think James W. Kinkead is from the Cumberland County, PA Kincaids. Although, lately, I have found vague connections between the Cumberland County Kincaids and the Chester County, PA Kincaids. Also I'm having trouble accessing Alice Gedge's table so I am unable to review the updates there. I'm still looking at the warrants, deeds, and surveys in Westmoreland County after 1786 to find more definitive answers to where James Kincaid, coroner, died. I still don't believe he is the guy who died in 1812 in Brooke County, VA, later WV. Although it appears that he is the James Kinkead in the Board of Property Case. Sample 15550 is closer to 2519.
