AOL  automatically defaults mail composition to html, and if I want to send something relatively fancy, I have to right click my mouse and then click on "Compose as  plain text". I have no clue how other servers operate, but if you use plain text  then you can fix it up so it is in a presentable or readable format. And then  Rootsweb will pass it on just as you send it.
