    3. Dear Kinkead Listers, This John Kinkead could be my John Kinkead, son of George.  But I am not sure. He is in the same company as Corp. Andrew Kinkead, son of George.  And his trail follows the direction of my John in his journey to Union Township, Erie County, PA.  He also assigns his donation land to Isaac Craig.  The John Kincaid cited in the Notes and Queries was born in Cumberland County, PA, was about 18 years old, and enlisted for 18 months which I took to mean the Pennsylvania Continent Line as an 18 months man.  I still don't understand completely the enlistment between militia and Continental line.  Some in the Continental Line enlisted for the duration, others for 7 months and others for 18 months.  My John was definitely in the Cumberland County, PA Militia.  I think it's him with his brother Andrew in Capt. William Wilson's Company.  And his note to the powers that be about his Donation land sounds like my line. Sincerely Norman Kincaide 1780 John Kinkead, [000024] private, in Capt.
