    3. The two Kincaids listed below as being from Hartford, Washington County, NY has opened up an exciting new line of research for me. It seems that these two Kincaids were brothers who are said to descend from a David Kincaid of Londonderry, Ireland who was born about 1695. Actually, there were three brothers here. In John's household was a brother Alexander who died in 1806. John also died in 1806. James is said to have married a Margaret McCoy and it was his family that continued in the area. I am a bit frustrated in that there appears to be more earlier information available but I do not have access to the sources for this information. They are: McCoy Material, Etc. By Mary Ann VanZandt Bell Ancestors of Our Grandchildren and Their Cousins, 742-1977: Harriet R. Frische If this is available in any of your local sources I would appreciate it if someone could pass on to me what it says about this Kincaid family. I am most interested in where this information came from (ie. family bible, letters, etc.). Best wishes!
