The owner could have rented out portions of his property or part of the acreage may not have been developed enough to be taxable. Sincerely Norman Kincaide ----- Original Message ---- From: Peter A. She seems to be claimed by a couple of lines but I don't see/recall anything solid on her. Looking briefly over the info I have saved I ask why people do not see her as possibly the mother of Thomas Kinkead who married Hannah Clingan. What rules that scenario out? She drops out of the picture about 1775. Prior to that she was taxed for 100 acres and apparently a lot in Carlisle. Thomas was taxed for 50 acres. In 1777 Thomas sells 133 acres. How did he jump from 50 to 133 acres? In 1779 Thomas and Hannah sell a lot in Carlisle. Again, what ruled out the widow Kinkead being the mother of Thomas? Best wishes! Peter A.
