I challenge the following statement: "I have successfully documented my family back to Thomas S. and Marena (Siverly) Kincaid." In no presentation to this list or anywhere else has this documentation be referenced or presented, nor do I believe that it exists. There is one census record that seems to fit what Ms. Potter is trying to jerryrig for her DAR application. However, there are other census records that directly conflict with that. If there is a family bible records, a birth certificate, a marriage certificate or a death certificate, let's know about it. If there is a preponderance of evidence, such as newspaper accounts, county history accounts, etc., let's see them. Until then, the correct statement is "Thomas S. and Marena (Siverly) Kincaid are POSSIBLE antecedents." Genealogy is about documented facts, not filling in blanks without proper documentation so one can get into the DAR. Randall Kincaid
