Gartcows was basically an estate. It is in today's Falkirk. Follow your link and zoom in more. It was situated on the south of the Falkirk and District Royal Infirmary. If you zoom in you will see Gartcows Road, Drive and Crescent basically encomasing the estate. A little to the west was Bantaskine House which Alexander Kincaid, provost of Edinburgh was stated as being representative of. Best wishes! Peter A.
