    3. The record below indicate that the famous surgeon, Thomas Kincaid of Edinburgh, was of the Auchinreoch Kincaid family. Also the record seems to indicate that Alexander Kincaid, goldsmith, was a son of John Kincaid of Huck, as he was an apprentice to Zacharius Milleins, goldsmith, in Dec. 1683. Or perhaps there were two Alexander Kincaids, one of Saltcoats and the other of Huck. Another interesting record is for John Kincaid, son to John Kincaid of that Ilk, who was an apprentice to Alexander Kincaid, goldsmith, in 1728. I have marked the records for Alexander Kincaid, goldsmith, with ***. 56 Register of Edinburgh Apprentices.
