Agreed about Jean and Jane. I assume you are referring to the John Kincaid, son of John Kinkade and Jean Livingstone, who was baptized in Falkirk Parish, Stirling on 19 February 1670. I see no evidence of a connection to the Kincaids of Bannockburn. This seems to be someone jumping on a John who might fit time wise. The evidence is that the John Kinkade who married Jean Livingstone was of the Kincaids of Grange (Abbots) and that he married Margaret Lorn about 24 June 1699.
