Lineage review: Darrell Blanco Kincaid Orval Blanco Kincaid d 1979 George Thomas Kincaid d 1963 Henry d 1916 Thomas d 1873 Look particularly at the link from Henry to Thomas/Lucinda Claypool. On the death certificate Lucinda claims to be daughter of Thomas, son of S. Kincaid d 1873. This may be because they never married and she had been living with Thomas in the pretense of being his daughter or could she have been a daughter-in-law? Is the census info and death certificates of her children enough to connect to this Thomas? There appears to be no evidence of another Thomas in the area.     3. Throughout the Lewis County records the relationship of Thomas Kincaid and Lucinda Claypole is (my opinion) deliberately "under the radar" until the death of Thomas in 1873. Thereafter the children adopt the Kincaid name and property changes hands from Lucinda to them. I plan on visiting the Lewis County Court House in late May during my annual "pilgrimage" to my homeland. If list members have a short list of crucial items, I would try to include them in my research. Lewis County is understaffed, low keyed and "generous" with their records. I have previously visited and due to other considerations have not even "digested" all the records from this prior visit. I have visited the Kincaid Cemetery near Duffy and have pictures. I do not have any plans to revisit the Cemetery during this "pilgrimage". I also recall having some Lewis County tax records somewhere that suggest a relationship. Cheers!
