Annie Kincaid Barbee The Dispatch.com/ Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina Published: Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 4:50 p.m. Last Modified: Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 4:50 p.m. THOMASVILLE | Annie Kincaid Barbee, 87, a resident of Alston Brook Nursing Home, formerly of Bethlehem Avenue, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Randolph Hospice Home. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville by the Rev. Doug Rowe. The interment will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and other times at the home of the granddaughter, 301 Bethlehem Ave., Thomasville. She was born May 19, 1923, in Colbert, Ga., to Robert Kincaid and Anna Loftis Kincaid. She was retired from Duracell Battery in Lexington and was a member of Rich Fork Baptist Church. She was married May 1, 1942, to Everett "Bill" Lee Barbee Sr., who preceded her in death May 11, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Verda Mae Bray; and one brother, Issum Kincaid. Surviving are one daughter, Alice Barbee Ervin and husband Bill of Colfax; one son, Everett Barbee Jr. and wife Linda of Lexington; one sister, Rachael Fortson and husband Ed of Danburg, Ga.; one brother, Bobby Kincaid and wife Bonnie of Colbert, Ga.; three grandchildren, Billy Ervin of High Point, Derick Kennedy of Myrtle Beach and Jennifer Barbee Swift and husband Ken of Thomasville; two great-granddaughters, Holly Gable and Shelby Kennedy; and three great-great-granddaughters, Zaylah Majett, Lillianna Morales and Olivia Duncan.
