    3. From: Barbara Van Hout Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2011 8:28 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Alexander Kincaid in the 1830 Woodford County, KY census Margaret Messer-Quick wrote asking for the parents of the Alexander Kincaid in the 1830 Woodford Co, KY census. It is likely that Alexander was the son of Guy Kinkead/Lovey Dictum who moved to Christian County, KY after 1810. Guy Kinkead, a. 26-45, is in the 1810 Woodford County census above his father William, a. 45+, and John Kinkead, a. 16-26, the youngest son of William/Eleanor, is below William. Sue gave us this information about the Guy Kinkead/Lovey Dictum family a few days ago. I saw two Garrett families on the same 1830 census page as Alexander Kincaid, so this could be a link to Alexander’s brother William’s wife, Elizabeth Garrett. Sue wrote: “The middle name Love may indicate that your William b 1804 may be the son of Guy Kinkead b March 14, 1779 married Love Dicturm, daughter of Joseph Dictum and Rachel Love, May 15, 1800 Woodford Co. Guy died between June 7 and July 17, 1818. The only child mentioned by name in his will was daughter Rebecca Guynn. June Lee Mefford Kinkead's "Our Kentucky Pioneer Ancestors, A History of Kinkead and McDowell Families of Kentucky" published 1992 by Gateway Press gives a listing of children for this couple which comes from a manuscript, "The Descendants of Archibald Gant and the Ancestors of Rebecca Kinkead, by William Cooper Weaks; Dec 25, 1944. Guy and Love's son William m Sarah H. Stewart on Nov 8, 1823. No other information is given for this William. Could Elizabeth Garrett have been a second wife?
