My comments on this family line: there are two different dates given for the marriage of Williams Kinkead/Susan Frances Hagood . One is Sept. 18, 1870 and the other date is Sept. 15, 1870. The census date for the 1870 Hawkins Co, Tn census is July 25, 1870, and Williams Kinkead is shown living with his parents Anderson and Caroline Kinkead in this census. There was a Williams Kinkead, a. 40 b. TN a few households away, with wife named Louisiana, a. 28, in this same census. He would have been the Williams Kinkead, Sr. at this time. The rest of the posting looks very good. It is surprising that you all could find so many records relating to the past generations in this family! Note: the Martin Shearman in this record may have been an uncle of Agatha Chinn, wife of William Kinkead, who married in 1777 in Frederick County, Virginia. Backing up the censuses are marriage records and a book written by the granddaughter of Nancy Ann Kinkead who lived with her grandmother for many years. Nancy Ann (1837-1923) was niece and stepdaughter of Williams. The connection from Williams to David & Mary Williams relies on a Bible record backed up by the administrative record for David's estate, the above book and several references concerning David & Mary's daughters mentioned in the Bible record. The connection from David to Joseph & Rebecca Calvert relies on the wills of Robert Williams, the 2nd husband of Ann Calvert Kincaid (widow of Burrough), David/Winifred, John Calvert (and subsequent deed/grant info), and land transference. In 1983 Edgar Ellis had the headstones of David and Mary in his garage. He had salvaged them from the field where David and Mary were buried when the current owner had turned the cattle into the pasture. He had intended on placing them in the Wills Cemetery.The Wills Cemetery is where David and Mary's son Edwards was buried.Edwards widow had remarried to Hiram Wills and the property became known as the Wills place and Wills Cemetery.Edgar Ellis was a descendant of Edwards Kinkead. Edgar Ellis states on family group sheet for David Kinkead and Mary Williams family that the cemetery was almost totally destroyed by Harvey Brooks Land Sales. Williams and Susan's keepsake/take home marriage certificate gives date of Sept 15 1870. The registered marriage record as far as I can tell looks like Sept 18th, you can find the record on Ancestry.com. Williams was on the 1870 census with his parents in July and married two months later in September. The Williams you mentioned with Louisiana is the the brother of Anderson Kinkead therefore making him the uncle of Williams/Susan.
