I would refer to myself as an interested "amateur" who does not have time at this stage in his life to be an active participant, but I read all postings and have participated in the DNA testing. Ruth C. has been a significant contact point for me in Group C. James Brisbin and I have met twice and he has "filled in" some missing information for me. I will be retiring in the next 2-3 years and I hope to have much more time at that point to dedicate to the family research. We have been to Scotland twice, on our own, most recently in 2005, and we had the opportunity to walk the Kincaid-Lennox castle grounds and briefly visit the Kincaid House Hotel. It has been quite a few years that we did a roll call on this list. This is simply an invitation for everyone to post something about their line and their research interest. One tends to be surprised to learn that there are lurkers here with something of interest to other Kincaid list members. I will start with myself. I descend from David Kincaid (1798-1886) of County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. My main area of research is Kincaids in Northern Ireland and Kincaids in Scotland. I hope that in 2011 I will finally link my David to a line in Northern Ireland or Scotland. Love to hear from the lurkers here. Best wishes!
