While searching I found the below from Chalkey's Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia and wonder which Kinkeads he is referring to in the 2nd paragraph. Since he states William Gay/Guy immigrated in 1739 and that he came with the Kinkeads and other named families, I suppose we could assume the Kinkeads immigrated in 1739 also. I am curious which Kinkeads he is referring to and since he stated Kinkeads there must have been several, one of which would likely have been William Kinkead who married Eleanor Guy/Gay, ancestor of Bill Kinkead # 1426. Do Chalkley volumes show documentation for what he says. If so perhaps the documents might show which Kinkead lines were involved.
