Did John/Mary Thompson have any sons who may have Kinkead descendents? And can it definately be proven that John/Mary is son of Matthew? It is my suspicion that Thomas/Hannah Tincher may be Matthew's brother. If so then this line should be A-1a. If the line is A-1b then John the Weaver would be a possible brother or cousin to David/Winnefred and Joseph of Albemarle Co. If Dennis House is correct that John the Weaver is the same man as John of Bath then the DNA should be Group D. This is a long running argument that can only be solved when a vettable DNA sample from Matthew's line can be found. Matthew is the only provable son to John the Weaver.
