Carol, Like you, I believe Thomas/Isabella to be son of Mt Tom/Polly Davis. However, we have not been able to convince the researcher for the DNA sample from Thomas/Eliza Townsend (Eliza is Thomas/Isabella's second wife). Do you have information that bolsters the connection? We have the presence of "Mary, widow" in the 1850 household of newly married Thomas/Isabella and the knowledge that Thomas/Isabella received land originally belonging to Thomas, son of Samuel of the 3 wives. Details of the land transfers are complicated and best left to another time.
