Twenty-nine years ago Joseph Tribble, a resident, of Wathena, Kansas, who sympathized with the confederate cause, murdered Thomas Kincaid, who was a northern sympathizer, and who was at the time preparing to enlist in the Union army, Immediately after the murder, Tribble made his escape, going to Mississippi, where he entered the confederate army. After the war he settled in Mississippi. On the first of the present month Tribble went back to his former home thinking no one would recognize him.
