    3. William D Kincaid married Nancy Dickinson in Bath County in 1827. Nancy Dickinson was the daughter of Adam Dickinson (son of John/Martha). >From Debi Grubb in 2002: RE: Robert Kincaid-Alleghany County "I found this info in the Monroe WV archives. It's a shame it didn't have the whole will. Does anyone have this will? "Robert's will in 1840 leaves possessions to Arch., inf. s/o Andrew, Sr. and to Andrew, inf. s/o Wm. D. Kincaid." Andrew Sr. listed above is the s/o William Kincaid/Ann Elliott. William D. Kincaid is the s/o John Kincaid/Alice Dean. He married Nancy Dickinson on 8/23/1827 in Bath County, VA. William died in 1838 and Nancy died in 1836. On our Kincaid website someone has posted the cemetery records for the "Falling Spring Presbyterian Church cemetery" located in Allegheny county, VA. William, Nancy and infant daughter, Nancy Alice, 5 months, are buried here. I haven't located their son Andrew yet." According to the book "Abstracts of the Wills and Inventories of Bath County, Virginia, 1791-1842" by Jean Randolph Bruns, William Kincaid's will of 1838 was on one of the pages of Bath County records that was torn out and is now missing. It should read - "William's heirs", not William D's heirs. That's a typo. No records have been discovered with a middle name for William. #2. William is the son of John/Margaret named in the will of 1817. I believe William was the executor of his brother John's estate. #3. I haven't yet identified the John Kinkead who married Alice Sthresley. I believe John/Margaret's son John, was the John D. Kinkead who married Lucy Woodson Railey and died shortly after, that fits in with the historical accounts of Lucy's husband dying shortly after with no issue as well as the above executor bond for John Kinkead, decd. with William Kinkead as executor. It also fits in with the division of John/Margaret's land in 1823 with no son John receiving land although he was named in the will of 1817, probated in 1820. It may also explain the name of William's son being John D. Kinkead (1811-1895).
