    1. [KIMMEL] Kimmel Horner (Somerset Co PA to Ontario)
    2. Yes, surprise, surprise, I do find An Anna Maria Kimmel who married a Horner in my data base. According to my (uninvestigated and unproved) records, she was d/o J. Nicholaus Kimmel and Susanna Weber. Dates I have for Anna Maria are b 12/2/1768, presumably Somerset Co. PA, d 3/8/1852 Ontario, York Co. Markham Twp. DOM is c1788 Somerset Co.? Buried SE corner of home, Markham Twp, York Co., Ontario, Canada. I didn't write down my sources for any of this. (Austin Cooper's 200 Years of the Church of the Brethren in Brothersvalley 1762-1962 sounds like a good likely source and might well have these folks included in their notes on the various Brethren migrations.) However, Laurel Messenger, my notes say, deals with this family in its 11/86 issue. Says Daniel Horner Sr. died 13 June 1825 and was buried on the SE corner of his property Markham Twp. His wife Anna Maria (Kimmel) Horner died 8 Mar 1852 and was buried beside him. Shortly after their arrival in Canada, the Horners joined the Heise Hill Dunkard Church. Later generations were active in the Dunkard Community in Markham Twp. "For more information contact Steve Marshall, 434 Dellwood Dr., Orillia, Ontario, Canada L3V 209," but this was a 1986 note. First six children were born Quemahoning Twp, Somerset Co. PA. "About 1805-6 following the lead of Christian Troyer, Daniel moved his family from Somerset Co. to Mark Twp... Daniel settled in 1807 on lots 20 and 21, Conc 2, Markham Twp." Descendants of Daniel and Anna Maria still live in and around the area, it said (1986). Anna Maria's parents, according to my Kimmel records, were J. Nicholaus Kimmel, born 9/19/1728 Darmstadt (Germany), died 1804 York Co.PA.; and Susanna Weber born 1/23/1742. They m. 1758. no DOD for her and no parents. J. Nicholaus Kimmel was a s/o Johann Philip Kimmel (1695-1777) and Anna Elizabeth Voltz (c1695-1755), and we have ancestry etc. on these Kimmels way back. Anna Elizbaeth Voltz was d/o Andrew Voltz from Darmstadt. She died in Germany, and Johann Philip Kimmel then emigrated with his remaining family to PA to join his brothers, who had emigrated earlier. Does this help? Jan T
