Tim - I've heard of the John Kimmel accordian player. There are a few of his records around and I and have one of his 78s. He's the only Kimmel musician I know of out of the past. Being a musician myself, I have an interest in Kimmel musicians. I haven't found a machine to play the 78 yet, so I can't review his playing - but at the time only the few best people in any area were being recorded, so I'd expect he was quite accomplished.
