My family are presently KimmAl's; however, I suspect they were originally the "EL" spelling. Tim has my gggrandfather Joseph as XB b.1808 PA. We have been unable to confirm any closer connection. My mother use to tell me that our ancestor came with his brothers to America from Germany but I don't know which one or if same brothers as Johann Michael's sons. In regard to the musical inclination of the Kimmel's, my mother played the accordian for a short time but would never give it up then gave it to my brother. She also played piano and made sure that I took lessons. My grandfather JBKimmal was a photographer and an artist. My son is artistic and draws beautiful pictures of people as well as scenes and architecture. Maybe we are cousins out there? Thanks for listening.
