    3. Dan... It's worth considering, since the same church at Gimbsheim that records Georg's birth does not record a death as it does for others who died in Germany. And his age does allow for him to be George Kimmel whose son's births are recorded in 1866 and 1868 in the Bermudian Lutheran Congregation (note to the others: Philip's sons were associated with the Reformed Congregation of the same church). The two main obstacles you'll need to get around is 1) to explain why Johann Georg is not mentioned in Johann Jacob of Ephrata's 1784 will with brothers Adam, Jacob and Rupertus, and 2) explain how "Johann Georg" Kimmel would become "Georg Claus P." Kimmel in the cemetery in N.C. Don't forget that we still have to account for the fact that the only known reference to Georg in N.C. places his birth at about 1851 (d. 1806 age 55y). Good luck...
