Dear Jan and Tim. It's interesting seeing some of the information about my direct family in my e-mail yesterday and today. I also was surprised when I saw my brother Ted, mentioned, and his wife Jo. There were 4 brothers in my family and I'm the oldest and brother Ted was the youngest. In order to state who my ancestors are, I'll list them from Johann Philip Kimmel followed by his son by the same name, then Jacob, Ludwig, Tobias, Samuel, then my father Harry Oscar Kimmel 1892-1948.For more information about us you may view my Web Site at http://members.aol/captdnk . Theodore Ecroyd Kimmel (note spelling of ECROYD) was born 3-30-1929 and was killed in an airplane crash in Madagascar on 5-11-1965. Ted's wife you have correct. She is a minister today in a Methodist Church in the Phoenix area. Her full name is Joann Stuckey Kimmel. She has several college degrees and later went back and got her theology degree, as did brother Ted earlier. Your information about Jo (she writes under the name of Jo Kimmel) authoring the books mentioned is correct. However, she has authored a couple more books since these two. Ted was asked by the Church World Service to head up their program in Madagascar in the early 60's, and he was killed in a small airplane crash in the northern mountainous region in 1965.
