    3. I find some of my families through court records. After the death of John Brubaker (who married Anna Musser 1751-1819), there must have been problems in settling the estate. The eldest Brubaker daughter was Elizabeth, who married Solomon Kimmel (1770-1825). These records give several Kimmel and Musser names, so I've organized notes on what I found. The record is incomplete, but perhaps it will help to show documented evidence on some of our ancestors. Laurel Messenger, May 1975, page 7 Estate 2--1803--Administration Bond filed Feb. 22, 1803. On motion of Mr. Weyley (Weigley?) to stay the proceedings, John Kimmel Ex. being interested withdrew from the bench, and the council of the plaintiff objected to the competency of Robert Philson Esq, he being one of the administrators of the estate of John Brubaker Dec'd, and also acknowledged in open Court (that he?) and George Swartz had a mortgage in the land in question, to secure the payment of this debt.
