Hello Pamela and anybody, I always thouht that most of the American Kimmels are descending from that Gimbsheim Line which then goes further back to Hessia. So at first glance i don`t see the connection to bavaria. To get an impression on my Kuemmel(umlaut) Family here`s my lineage to my oldest known ancestor: Alexander Gipp Gertraud Kuemmel Franz-Xaver Kuemmel 1921 Johann Andreas Kuemmel 1883 Maria Margaretha Christina Kuemmel 1860 Johann Friedrich Karl Kuemmel 1814 Johann Adam Kuemmel 1784 Johann Kaspar Kuemmel 1759 Jobst Kuemmel(maybe Johann Sebastian) from 1921-1784 born in Repperndorf, about 20 km to Wuerzburg, lower franconia, Bavaria, Germany 1759 born in Burgambach, about 40 km to Wuerzburg So far I have knowledge of 105 Kuemmel named descandants of Jobst. Does anyone has connections to this region?
