General Notice From Timothy W. Kimmel (Kimmel Family Record web site http://www2.fwi.com/~tkimmel/ ) Regarding the 1999 Year-end version of my Kimmel data collection. Many of you who know about my collection of Kimmel data are also aware that each year’s end I make available the entire collection to those who are interested in reviewing the whole works, not just their small portion of the American Kimmel family. (It’s huge. If you are only interested in your own Kimmel branch you won’t want to wade through this mess of data or use up 12MB of your hard drive space to store it. Trust me.) Like last year, the data has been placed in zip files online in WordPerfect 6.0 format. Most recent version software like Word97 will convert from this format. The Kimmel detail and summary in fifteen files totaling about 8.12MB are compressed to 1.75MB. Sources, foreign info and census files totaling about 2.9MB are compressed to 568KB in a second zip file. If you are interested, e-mail me (Tim) at tkimmel@fwi.com for the URL where it is located.
