Thanks Kit, but I have several Kilgore cousins (Daddy's nephews) who I'm sure I could get to do the DNA. I thought I would wait until I could talk to them in person. Since I moved in Jan. 07, I live about 4 hours away from two of them; but will be going to Randolph Co. for an Oct. 4 reunion at the college and will try to talk to them then. I will still be happy to contribute to the funds to get some lines established. If my thinking is correct, we will find that Elijah fits into those VA/NC/TN Kilgore families and we just don't have paper proof. There's a story there somewhere, I'm sure, because of the names that are repeated over and over. (unless all those Kilgores had a penchant for naming their children Charles, John, Calvin, James, David, and Isaac.)
