If the DNA of a male descendant of each of these men match, it will show that they share a common ancestor but would not necessarily connect the two as brothers. If no match, that would rule them out as brothers. Gladys In a message dated 9/9/2008 11:46:25 P.M. So, if we know that Thomas was in MD in 1720 and Robert was in VA in 1730 how would you connect these two as brothers? You would be able to tell Thomas' lineage if enough in the database know they are of Thomas but would Robert's DNA also show up and matching if Thomas was his brother? g **************Psssst...Have you heard the news? I'm confused-is this supposed to be referring to Thomas Kilgore of Orange Co NC being in MD in 1720? or Thomas Kilgore m: Rebecca Lasley? Where was this Robert Kilgore at in VA in 1730? The earliest Robert Kilgore in VA I have is the one listed on a muster roll in 1758 Frederick Co VA. If there's an earlier one, I must've missed him. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 10, 2008 11:14 AM Subject: Re: [KILGORE] DNA If the DNA of a male descendant of each of these men match, it will show that they share a common ancestor but would not necessarily connect the two as brothers.
