I wrote this several years ago " My Grandmother was Ellen Clemetine Knolls (knoles) Hester. Her mother was Clara Lee Kilgore. Granny Ellen was from Tipton Ga. ( She passed away just a few weeks ago.) I am trying to find out more information on her mothers mother. Let's she that would be 4 generations? I understand that either her grandmother or Great grandmother was a Cherokee I am trying to trace that line as well. I was on youtube looking up Native American stuff when I ran across a video with this photo. I emailed the person and got this link. http://www.old-picture.com/indians/Zuni-Woman.htm She is Zuni Pueblo. Now I know all of you have been told we are Cherokee. But she looks just like me. It freaked me out. No I don't look exactly like this now but have in my past. :) I emailed the photo to my Mother with no information about it. She thought it was her Mom Ellen Clementine. My Aunt Sally thought so as well. Aunt Sally made the comment that she had a photo showing Granny (Ellen) just like this. Could we be Pubelo? They say you do have look alikes out there but I question that. This photo was taken in 1903 by Edward Curtis. Maybe she is not a direct ancestor but a relative? Any thoughts out there?
